The Plateau Reservoir in Upper Hutt, Wellington, is a 12‑metre‑diameter, 5‑metre‑high concrete water tank with a dome roof. Due to significant leakage and overall structural deterioration, the reservoir required seismic strengthening to ensure long‑term performance and water‑tightness. Strengthening works focused on enhancing the tank’s structural integrity through targeted post‑tensioning.
