We're looking for a hands on Remedial Supervisor to join our growing team!
Role purpose:
The position of Supervisor is responsible for performance of duties including supervision of other employees on site and working closely with other site supervisors. This position has some supervisory accountabilities, directing the performance of work, resources and activities.
 
Primary accountabilities:
  • Lead by example, being hands-on and ensure safety culture
  • Implement QSE plans, work procedures and SWMS with project engineering assistance
  • Plan and organize site labor, plant, equipment and materials to suit program and budget
  • Train site labor and ensure adherence to issues of safety, quality and the environment
  • Conduct and document safety pre-starts and inspections at required frequency
  • Manage safety incidences immediately in conjunction with project engineer and safety coordinator
  • Monitor site productivities against budget and optimize methods for improvement
  • Identify variations and delays, and promptly report to the project engineer
  • Report weekly timesheets for labour
  • Provides guidance and assistance as part of a work team on complex/specialized projects;
  • Assists in the provision of training in conjunction with Site Supervisor/site manager and trainers;
  • Understands and implements quality control techniques on large or complex/specialized projects;
  • Works under limited supervision of Project Manager either individually or in a team environment;
  • Lead a site team up to 10 blue collar workers
 
Qualifications:
  • SiteSafe Passport
  • First Aid
  • EWP ticket preferred
 
Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar industry
  • Previous Supervision experience 
  • Solid understanding of the building code, safety guidelines and regulations addressing construction and engineering projects. 
  • Previously worked on Concrete Repair, Marine, Industrial, Water, Waste Water, Bridges, Wharves projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time to schedule
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium and large teams
  • Previously supervised/lead a team on high risk project 
  • You must be a "working" Supervisor, not afraid to get on the tools when required.
